Evaluation Overview
Scoring the competitions has evolved as the activity
has grown. Performance formats have become more complex and
entertaining; movement has expanded well beyond that of just
marching, and the overall musical performance level has pushed
the envelope with each new year.
However, the main scoring criteria still remains, rewarding
each ensemble for the skills demonstrated by each participant,
and the percussive and visual excellence achieved in that
demonstration.
Scholastic Classes
All members of the ensemble must come from the
same school (through grade 12 only) or schools that feed into
that school and abide by the age rule.
