Scholastic National A (PSNA)

This classification will serve groups that display greater than basic skills, but are not at the level to compete nationally in the Open class.

The idea is to protect our fundamental belief in Class A being a safe haven for groups to enter the indoor arena and enjoy a rewarding experience with the possibility of competition at a basic level. As we all know, the level of groups competing nationally in Class A are demonstrating a much more than basic skill set. WGI is reviewing this approach for implementation in the near future to accommodate both the A groups as well as the groups who are approaching Open.

For Class A groups with basic skills, they will be able to compete with groups of a similar skill set. For more advanced groups bordering on Open, but perhaps lacking certain elements to make their entire ensemble competitive at that level, they too will be competing against similar groups.
